FIRST PITCH:
- Charleston took the series finale versus UNCW by a score of 6-3 in a game that saw freshman Jake Amman and graduate Dylan Johnson hit homers.
- Freshman Kaden Myers picked up his third victory of the season, tossing 3.1 innings of relief.
- Myers has appeared in 12 games this year out of the bullpen, good for 15th in the country.
- Of the 56 pitchers with at least 12 outings, Myers has the third-most innings pitched with 25.0.
- Johnson is No. 43 on D1 Baseball's Week 6 Top 50 Catchers list.
- Johnson threw out his 41st career runner over the weekend, putting him in sole possession of second in program history. Ereven Roper holds the record with 42.
- Freshman Austin Wiegandt tossed two scoreless innings Friday, lowering his season ERA to 2.84. Wiegandt has now allowed an earned run in his last three outings, striking out six in 5.0 frames.
- Sophomore Alex LaCoste enters Wednesday on a nine-game hitting streak, the longest by a Cougar in 2026. In that span, LaCoste is hitting .333 (11-for-33) with eight RBI, five walks and a .981 OPS.
- In the last seven contests, Charleston's starting pitchers have a 2.64 ERA, striking out 32 batters in the 30.2 combined innings.
SERIES HISTORY:
- Charleston holds a 41-39 overall record versus Georgia Southern and is 22-13 at home. The Cougars swept the home-and-home matchups last year with a 6-3 win Feb. 25 in Statesboro and 8-3 victory April 30 at home.
- Dating back to 2023, CofC has won six of the last seven ballgames.

- Charleston hits the road for its first conference weekend away from Patriots Point. The Cougars take on Campbell March 27-29 from Buies Creek, N.C. First pitch in the opener Friday is set for 6 p.m.
