HARRISONBURG, Va. --- James Madison edged College of Charleston by two points in each of the first two sets and kept the Cougars at bay in the third frame en route to a straight-set sweep on Sunday afternoon in Colonial Athletic Association play.

HOW IT HAPPENED

JMU fought off three set points in the opening frame to claim a 1-0 lead in the match with a 30-28 victory.
The Dukes held off a late push in the second frame to take the set, 25-23, and capped the sweep with a 25-13 win in set three.
Charleston accumulated 12 blocks in the match including 11 in the opening two frames.
The Dukes accounted for 43 kills and held the Cougars to a .049 hitting percentage in the match.

NOTABLES

Lexi Wierzbicki led the way for Charleston with nine kills to go along with three blocks.
Freshman Sofie Vogel accounted for six kills while hitting .357 on 14 swings.
Emma Falk recorded a match-high eight blocks as Wierzbicki and Logan Pope each added three.
Claire Campbell put down seven kills and added a pair of blocks.
Senior libero Logan Manusky was limited to 13 digs.

The Cougars return home to host Elon on Saturday, March 27 in the first of two matches with the Phoenix next weekend. First serve on Saturday is set for 1:00 p.m. at TD Arena.
