Low Country Classic on Tap This Weekend at Patriots Point

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The College of Charleston gets ready to host its third home tournament of the season this weekend with the Low Country Classic at Patriots Point.
The three-day event is set to start Friday and run through Sunday and includes Northern rivals Syracuse, Rutgers and Robert Morris.
The Cougars kick off the weekend on Friday at 3 p.m. against Rutgers and take on Syracuse later that afternoon. Saturday sees the Cougars facing Rutgers and Robert Morris beginning at the same time, and the weekend concludes on Sunday with the Cougars set to face Robert Morris again.
Only Friday's games will be streamed on FloSoftball. Live stats will be available for all 10 tournament contests.
Admission will be charged on Friday beginning at 2:00 p.m. and Sunday beginning at 11:30 a.m. There will be no charge for admission on Saturday.
About the Cougars
The Cougars are coming off a doubleheader split with Canisius on Tuesday. Charleston took the second game on the strength of a four-run rally in the third, highlighted by a two-run single by Mary-Kathryn Scott, and a solo homer by freshman Ella Campbell in the fifth.
Freshman Brooke Tranum enters the weekend with two home runs is tied for the team lead with Scott with four RBI. Aniz Roman paces the Cougars with a .375 batting averaged followed by Scott at .364 and Tranum at .280.
Drayton Siegling pitched 4.2 innings of four-hit, one-run relief in the win over Canisius. Freshman Caroline Conner has the team's other win and leads the Cougars with 11 strikeout.
