
Cougars Shut Out at Winthrop

ROCK HILL, S.C. - The College of Charleston softball team lost their final road game of the season 6-0 against Winthrop on Tuesday afternoon.
The Eagles opened the game with four runs on four hits in the first inning before adding another in the second frame and their final run on an RBI single in the sixth.
Winthrop's pitching staff combined for 11 strikeouts while the Cougars only reached base once on a walk.
Charleston returns home to host Hofstra this weekend for their final series of the season. First pitch is Thursday at 5:00 p.m.
