
Cougars Host Marshall in Three-Game Series

CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston continues its season-opening homestand when the Cougars host Marshall in a three-game series on Friday and Saturday.
The teams meet in a doubleheader on Friday at 1 p.m. and a single game the following day at noon. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online or at the field. All three games will be streamed on FloSoftball.
The Cougars will celebrate Valentine's Day with a Hearts on the Diamond theme. Fans will have the opportunity to write a valentine to their favorite player, and a raffle will be held to win a Charleston jersey teddy bear.
College of Charleston
The Cougars won one of five games at the Charleston Invitational last weekend. In a 4-1 victory over Fordham, Kendall Thackston tossed a complete game and was supported by home runs by Sierra Paradis and Savannah Lockhart.
Austy Miller led the Cougars with four hits in the tournament while stealing four bases. Julia Sitterding and Kaytlin Stacey both had three hits with Stacey driving in a pair of runs.
Marshall
The Thundering Herd went 1-4 at the NFCA Leadoff Classic with three losses coming to Power 4 schools. Brooklyn Ulrich had a team-high seven hits while Paige Simpson went 5-for-10 with two doubles and tied Abby Darnley for the team lead with three RBI.
