
Softball Makes Short Hop to SC State

CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston looks to continue its winning streak when the Cougars visit South Carolina State for a Wednesday doubleheader at 1 p.m.
The Cougars are coming off a sweep of Hampton last weekend in their first CAA series of the season. Charleston scored 26 runs in the three games, tied for the most in a conference set since joining the CAA in 2014.
Karlee Hughes led the way with eight hits in nine at bats against the Pirates and raised her batting average 150 points to a team-leading .333. Sierra Paradis is on a six-game hitting streak including seven RBI to give her 11 on the season.
The Cougars hold a 49-2 lead in the series and have won 41 in a row dating back to 2003. Charleston won last year, 4-0, at Patriots Point.
