Cougars and Blue Hose Meet in Wednesday Doubleheader

CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston begins a stretch of six home games in seven days when it hosts Presbyterian for a doubleheader Wednesday at 2 p.m. Admission is free.
Following the games against the Blue Hose, the Cougars return to CAA play beginning Friday against Drexel before taking on Coastal Carolina next Tuesday.
Charleston (13-18, 6-3 CAA) is coming off a series loss at Stony Brook. The Cougars took the opener, 2-1, behind a 10-strikeout performance by Mackenzie Mathis. The Seawolves won the next two by identical 5-4 scores to hand the Cougars their first CAA series loss of the season.
Presbyterian is returning to the Lowcountry after dropping two of three at Charleston Southern last weekend. The Blue Hose are 18-15 overall and 3-3 in the Big South.
The meeting is the first between the teams since 2015, and the series is even at two wins each. The only previous encounter at Patriots Point was in 2010 when they split a twinbill.
