MT. PLEASANT, S.C. – Ryley Kutter allowed only three hits while recording College of Charleston's second straight shutout of Drexel in a 2-0 victory on Saturday at Patriots Point.

The win clinches the series and improves the Cougars to 8-3 in the CAA including 7-1 at home. Charleston has won three of its four conference sets and moved closer to the .500 mark overall at 16-19.

Game Summary

Kutter continued her recent Patriots Point domination, having allowed only 11 hits and two runs (one earned) over 21 innings in her last three home games.
She lowered her ERA to 1.36 in CAA play and the team's mark to 2.05 in conference action.
Including Mackenzie Mathis' one-hitter on Friday, the Cougars have two shutouts in the same CAA series for the first time since 2022.
It also marks the first time Charleston has recorded back-to-back shutouts in a conference series since posting three straight against Furman in 2012.
Kutter benefited from solid Cougar defense that included double plays in each of the first two innings.
Julia Sitterding stabbed a line drive in the second, and Jay Wrightsman made a running catch on fly ball to deep center to end the game.
Charleston scored its two runs in the fourth starting with a single and stolen base by Austy Miller.
Leela Langston followed with an RBI single, and Kaytlin Stacey drove in Langston with a squeeze bunt.
