ELON, N.C. – College of Charleston dropped a 5-1 decision at Elon to conclude the CAA series against the Phoenix.

The Cougars do not have a midweek contest and return to action Friday at 5 p.m. when they open a CAA series against Towson at Patriots Point.

Game Summary
- The Cougars jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the top of the second on a leadoff single by Austy Miller and RBI base hit by Sierra Paradis.
- Paradis increased her team-leading RBI total to 19.
- Elon responded with three runs in the bottom of the second and added two more in the sixth.
- Miller had two hits, and Leela Langston also reached the hit column.
- Kendall Thackston started and went 5.1 innings, allowing five hits and two earned runs.
- Charleston is now 9-6 in the CAA and in fifth place, one game ahead of UNCW and Hofstra and two in front of Towson.
