MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. – Hailey Seymour tallied Charleston's fourth straight walk-off to defeat Central Michigan, 5-4, in the final game of the Charleston Invitational Sunday, February 8 at Patriots Point.

Austy Miller clinched the game winning run on Charleston's fourth walk-off of opening weekend in the bottom of the seventh.

The Cougars are now 4-1 in the Mrowka era with four consecutive wins over George Mason, Siena, St. Johns and Central Michigan.

CRITICAL POINTS

Mackenzie Mathis held the Chippewas scoreless through six innings facing 32 batters.

Leela Langston recorded her fourth run of the weekend after Seymour hit her third home run of the weekend to give the Cougars the 2-0 advantage in the bottom of the fourth.

In the bottom of the fifth, Bronwyn Conroy singled up the middle, allowing Karlee Hughes to score from second. Austy Miller then singled on a 1-2 count allowing Conroy to secure the Cougars' fourth run of the day.

With two outs in the top of the seventh, Jules Raymond replaced Mackenzie Mathis, earning her second victory of the weekend.

With bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh, Hailey Seymour hit a ball to short for the game winning walk-off.

OF NOTE

Five of Charleston's eight hits resulted in runs.

Hailey Seymour had 3 RBI and 13 putouts in the victory.

UP NEXT

The Cougars will next face Akron at Patriots Point Wednesday, February 11 in their first midweek contest of 2026. First pitch is set for 5:00 p.m.
