MT PLEASANT, S.C. – Graduate Dylan Johnson went 2-for-3 with 3 RBI as College of Charleston baseball beat UNCW 6-3 Sunday afternoon at Patriots Point.
The Cougars improve to 10-13 overall and 5-4 in the CAA while handing the Seahawks their first conference loss of the season (16-8, 5-1 CAA).
Johnson and freshman Jake Amman homered for Charleston while redshirt junior Carson Bryant and freshman Kaden Myers combined to allow just one run across the first 6.1 innings.

- Charleston jumped on UNCW early when Johnson doubled in a pair in the bottom of the first.
- Redshirt sophomore Jackson Berini doubled the Cougar lead in the third with a two-run double of his own.
- Bryant made his sixth start of the campaign, allowing just one hit in three scoreless innings.
- Amman made is a 5-0 contest when he led off the fourth with a solo shot to center.
- Johnson collected his second extra base hit of the afternoon with a solo homer of his own in the sixth.
- Myers continued to keep the UNCW bats quiet as he earned his third win of the year following 3.1 frames.
- Graduate Kurt Rogers struck out three in 1.1 innings as he picked up his second save.
OF NOTE:
- Charleston is 26-29 against UNCW in the all-time series and improves to 17-13 at home.
- Johnson had his eighth multi-hit game of the year and third multi-RBI performance.
- Amman has multiple hits in seven contests.
- Myers earned his second conference victory and lowered his ERA in league play to 2.13.
- CofC has had two home runs in a game four times this year.
