STATESBORO, GA. – Charleston softball lost 7-1 to Georgia Southern on the road Tuesday, March 24.
The Cougars move to 16-18 on the season and hold a 7-2 CAA record.

- Leading off for Charleston, Bronwyn Conroy doubled on a 1-1 count to enter scoring position. Leela Langston sent a sacrifice fly to left field for one RBI to give Charleston an early 1-0 lead.
- Starting in the circle was Ryley Kutter, allowing no hits in the first frame.
- Trailing 6-1 in the top of the fourth inning, Abby Driscoll and Cadence Alberty reached bases, but the Cougars could not connect.
- The Eagles would add one more run before the end of the game leaving the final score 7-1.
- Driscoll and Conroy had the only hits for Charleston Tuesday evening.
- Erin McDaid pitched four innings while finding two strikeouts.
- Charleston travels to Wilmington, N.C. to face UNCW for the fourth CAA series of the season. The Cougars begin the weekend slate Friday, March 27 at 6 p.m.
