WILMINGTON, N.C. – Charleston dropped the second contest 8-2 of a three-game series at UNCW Saturday, March 28.
The Cougars are now 16-20 on the season overall and 7-4 in CAA play.

- Charleston took an early lead in the top of the first after Julia Sitterding scored and Halle Cannon tallied an RBI.
- UNCW tied the game in the bottom of the second and took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the fourth before the Cougars would respond with a Sitterding double to send Bronwyn Conroy home, tying the game 2-2.
- The Seahawks would add six more runs before the end of the game to leave the final score 8-2.
- Mackenzie Mathis pitched a complete game with two strikeouts.
- Charleston had five hits on the evening.
- Leela Langston and Karlee Hughes each had three putouts against UNCW.
- Charleston plays the final game of the series Sunday, March 29 in Wilmington, N.C. with first pitch set for 1 p.m.
