WILMINGTON, N.C. – The College of Charleston fell 5-1 in the final game of the three-game series at UNCW Sunday, March 29.
Charleston moves to 16-21 overall and 7-5 in the conference.

- Julia Sitterding started hot for the Cougars tripling to right field. Next in the batting order was Leela Langston who sent a sacrifice fly to right field for an RBI and an early 1-0 lead. Halle Cannon then walked and Austy Miller singled. Haley Wolsky was hit by the pitch to load the bases, but with two outs the Cougars would not find another run in the inning.
- Ryley Kutter held the Seahawks scoreless through the second inning with two strikeouts. UNCW would find four runs in the bottom of the third to take a 4-1 lead.
- UNCW added one more run in the bottom of the fifth for a final score of 5-1.
- Kutter had four strikeouts in four frames of action.
- Charleston had five hits with Miller leading the Cougars with two.
- Langston continues to lead the team with 24 RBI on the season.
- Sitterding hit her first triple of the season against UNCW.
- Charleston will remain on the road for a mid-week contest in Clinton, S.C. against Presbyterian Wednesday, April 1. First pitch is set for 3 p.m.
- Following Wednesday's game, the Cougars will return home to host Elon for a three-game series beginning Friday, April 3.
