
Softball Travels to Towson

TOWSON, Md. – College of Charleston softball will head to Towson for the final series of the 2026 season April 30 through May 2 in Towson, Md.
First pitch on Thursday and Friday is set for 2 p.m. while the season finale will be played Saturday at 1 p.m.
Charleston is 25-26 on the season and 13-8 in league play after Austy Miller hit a walk-off single to defeat UNCW 5-4 in the last home game. Miller is now on a six-game hitting streak, tallying nine through the stretch.
The Cougars have gone 20-12 at home and Sunday's win marked the ninth walk-off of the season.
Mackenzie Mathis had three strikeouts and moved to 13-7 on the year in the win over the Seahawks. Mathis recorded her 100th strikeout in the series opener against UNCW and tallies 107 total strikeouts this season.
In CAA play, Halle Cannon leads the Cougars with a .357 batting average. Cannon has 38 hits on the season and 19 runs. She has scored two home runs in conference play against Elon and Hampton.
Towson has gone 23-25 this season with a 6-15 record in CAA play. The Tigers are 14-10 at home and have recently faced conference losses to Monmouth and Stony Brook.
Charleston holds a 21-14 advantage over the Tigers, most recently sweeping Towson at Patriots Point in April of 2025.
