STONY BROOK, N.Y. – College of Charleston lost for just the second time in eight CAA games when a rally in the seventh fell just short in a 5-4 loss to Stony Brook.

- The Cougars finished with 11 hits including three by Kaytlin Stacey which matched her career high.
- Austy Miller, Julia Sitterding and Kennedy Rhue each had two hits with Miller adding her team-leading third triple of the season.
- Charleston trailed 1-0 before scoring twice in the third including an RBI single by Rhue.
- Miller's RBI three-base hit in the fourth made it 3-1 before Stony Brook scored a run in the fourth and three in the fifth.
- Miller, Sitterding and Stacey singled in the seventh to load the bases with only one out.
- Rhue made it 5-4 with a sacrifice fly before the Cougars left runners on second and third.
