STONY BROOK, N.Y. – A solo home run in the bottom of the seventh gave Stony Brook a 5-4 win over College of Charleston and the series victory over the Cougars.

The Cougars return home for their next six games beginning with a doubleheader against Presbyterian on Wednesday at 2 p.m.

Game Summary
- The Cougars trailed 4-3 heading to the seventh before tying it on a single by Jay Wrightsman and RBI double by Sierra Paradis.
- But the Seawolves responded with a leadoff home run in the bottom of the frame to hand Charleston its second one-run loss of the series.
- Trailing 3-0 in the third, the first five Cougars reached base, starting with a Gracyn Hyatt walk and singles by Karly Smith and Wrightsman.
- Julia Sitterding followed with a single, Paradis walked and Austy Miller drove in the tying run with a fielder's choice.
- Leela Langston joined Wrightsman with two hits. The two RBI by Paradis gives her a team-leading 16 on the year.
