MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. – College of Charleston softball lost 12-2 in 5 innings to Appalachian State on Tuesday, March 10 at Patriots Point.
Charleston is now 11-14 overall.

- Down 9-0 in the bottom of the first, Bronwyn Conroy singled on a 3-2 count for Charleston's first hit of the day. She then stole second base and advanced to third on the Mountaineers throwing error. The freshman ran home on a wild pitch to put the Cougars on the board.
- Jules Raymond had two strikeouts in the top of the third and one in the top of the fourth.
- In the bottom of the fifth, Haley Wolsky singled and then stole second base to enter scoring territory. Julia Sitterding singled for an RBI and Wolsky ran home to leave the final score 12-2.
- The Cougars had four total strikeouts with Raymond claiming three.
- Conroy leads the team with 32 hits on the season after adding two against App State.
- Charleston hosts in-state foe USC Upstate for a doubleheader Wednesday, March 11 at 3 and 5 p.m.
