Cougars Fall in Five Innings to N.C. A&T

The Cougars are now 15-16 on the season and 6-2 in conference play.
CRITICAL POINTS
- Down 3-0 in the bottom of the second, Karlee Hughes doubled with Cougars on second and third for two RBI. Hughes advanced to third base and scored on a throwing error by the Aggies to tie the game 3-3.
- In the top of the third, N.C. A&T homered to add one. Campbell Schaen entered the circle and immediately struck out one Aggie before they would add two more to make the score 6-3.
- Across the fourth and fifth innings, the Aggies would add five more runs for a final score of 11-3 in five innings.
- The Cougars had four hits on the day including two from Austy Miller.
- Charleston pitchers had six combined strikeouts with Ryley Kutter leading the group with three.
- Charleston hosts N.C. A&T for the final game of the series at Patriots Point Sunday, March 22. First pitch is set for 1 p.m.
- Sunday's game will feature a Bark at the Park promotion and fans are encouraged to bring their furry friends. Charleston branded dog toys will be given away to fans while supplies last.
