CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston will honor seven members of its softball team during Senior Weekend ceremonies Saturday and Sunday when the Cougars host North Carolina A&T at Patriots Point.
The series begins Friday at 5 p.m. and continues with noon contests the following two days. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for youths all three days.
On Saturday, four-year players Shealyn Starks, McKenna Kelly, Aniz Roman and Mia Dittoe will be recognized. The activities continue Sunday with the honorees including Malaka Belser, who is graduating after only three years, fifth-year senior Payton Lemire and graduate student Brooke Marquez.
Saturday will also be a Bark at the Park Day, with fans encouraged to bring their dogs to the game. A required waiver form is online and will also be available at the entrance.
The Cougars and Aggies are meeting for the second time as CAA opponents after NC A&T took all three in Greensboro a year ago. That marked the first time the teams have played since 2005 when Charleston won to build what was then a 15-1 lead in the all-time series.
